Alchemy
Alchemy is an incredibly simple puzzle game that will keep you busy for hours and hours...unless of course you find a guide online but that defeats the purpose of even playing. You start with 4 elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. Your goal is to start with these 4 elements, combine them together, and end up with over 300 new ones. Fire + Earth creates Lava, Lava + Water create Steam and Stone, Stone + Water create Sand, and so on.
Alchemy is the perfect game to pick up, spend 30 minutes on, and put down for a while. With so many elements to discover, you will always be saying "Ahh, that makes sense. I should have known" (just try combining a 1UP mushroom with a man). Some of the more interesting elements you can create: Batman, Ectoplasm, Frankenstein, an Idea, Vodka, and of course, Sex.

Glyder 2
In Glyder 2 by Glu Mobile, you assume the role of girl with a pair of huge wings used to fly (or glide) around a fully 3D environment all while collecting different color gems and performing challenges. As you progress, you acquire new wings and outfits which affect your six flying stats including speed, lift, power, turn, stall, and dive.
I was pleasantly surprised to find such a graphic intensive game on my phone and better yet, it runs amazingly smooth as you're flying from island to island discovering new locations. You control your character by tilting the phone forward, backwards, and side to side which does take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes much easier. The inclusion of an achievement system adds to the whole experience seeing as there is no real end goal but just a sense of accomplishment when you locate that one item you've been looking for or finally beat the challenge you've been attempting for the last couple of hours. All in all, Glyder 2 is a surprising little gem with some amazing graphics that will keep you busy for a good long time.

World War
One of the first games I started playing on my Droid was Storm8's World War. While technically being a glorified, mostly text-based MMO, it still delivers a great deal of time wasting fun while being surprisingly addictive.
